A Letter From Old Father Christmas, 1890.
Join us Sunday, December 14 from 6PM to 8PM for the annual Old Fashioned Christmas Celebration at our Meeting House (6510 S. Franklin Road). There will be caroling, cookies, candles, and even a visit from Saint Nick!
As a special treat, FTHS board member Joe Seiter will present a variety of Victorian-era die-cuts, books and paper ephemera featuring Father Christmas from his personal collection (such as the 1890 children’s book featured at left). Don’t miss the chance to see these rare items and learn about Christmas in centuries past.
